DC Camp is the only pole camp dedicated to plus size dancers. Both camp instructors -- Roz The Diva and Devon Williams -- are plus size athletes and know the struggle. DEVON WILLIAMS started pole dancing in 2011, and began teaching pole dancing in April 2013. Her life hasn't been the same since! She expanded her teaching ability by completing Fly Gym Instructor Certification (November 2015); Transcend Aerial Yoga Teacher Training (May 2016), and Liquid Motion 1.0 Instructor Certification (February 2018).
This sport has really allowed her to push beyond her comfort zone and competed in several competitions: 2012 Dangerous Curves Plus Size Competition; Champion - 2012 Ms. Head Over Heels, Basic Division; 3rd Place - 2013 Dangerous Curves Plus Size Competition; 3rd Place - 2015 Atlantic Pole Championship Level 3 Senior Entertainment, 2016 - Atlantic Pole Championship Level 3 Senior Entertainment; 2018 - Atlantic Pole Championship Junior/Senior Floorwork & Low Flow.
Devon wanted to expand her impact on the pole and aerial community and opened Pole Pressure Woodbridge in January 2015. In February 2017 Devon took ownership of Pole Pressure DC and became the Chief Executive Officer of the Pole Pressure brand. Although a busy studio owner, Devon will always have the heart and drive of an eager student.
WHAT IS PLUS SIZE?
Generally, someone is considered plus size when they wear a woman’s 14+, or men’s XL+. If you fall outside these parameters but still identify as plus size, join us!
I’VE NEVER TAKEN A POLE CLASS. CAN I COME TO CAMP?
You can, but we recommend taking at least 6-8 classes beforehand.

Take a break from herculean tricks and work on building your pole persona. Travel beyond your comfort zone and learn how to intoxicate the masses with your personal style. We’ll experiment with tempo, eye contact, posture and moving with intent. Students will have the option of closing the class with a solo freestyle to their favorite song!
